Synopsis

God says no to Adam at a time of desperate need, and the young teen's faith is shattered. Feeling rejected and abandoned, he is determined to never believe again. Years later, as he sails his boat on a pleasure voyage to The Bahamas, he rescues Maria, who believes and depends on God very much. Adam soon finds himself battling treacherous storm-whipped seas, risking his own life to save Maria's, and becoming a target for armed killers-all because of her. Are these his apparent rewards for plucking this young woman from the sea? But Maria proves a capable aide; her quick thinking even saves his life. Adam is drawn to her, but her faith clashes violently with his nonbelief. Adam resolves that he will not change, for he has tasted the bitter consequences of trusting God. Seeing her live her faith, even through hardship and personal loss, brings him painful memories and soul-wrenching torment. Her witness shreds his philosophy. It shakes the very foundation of his being. Amid such earthly and spiritual conflicts, can reconciliation between him, her, and God ever be possible?
