She was sent to die. Instead, she finds more than she bargains for in the arms of the alien commander who rescues her. An assassin for Earth's interstellar military division, Alyssa Zelaya is too good at what she does. She's become a risk to those she works for and they want her dead. Sent to “Investigate” a new race, she is slated for death. Instead of dying, though, she's rescued by the aliens. Captain Mc’narrd risks everything in the hopes the occupant of the lone ship will be willing to help them end the budding war between his people and Earth. Commander Mc'narrd wants her help in stopping the hostility with her people and she's willing to do anything to help him. And not just because he makes her pulse race and her heart skip the proverbial beat. Going home is a death warrant. Any chance at life that she can foresee will be with the K’laisians. Maybe one K’laisian in particular.
