Synopsis

A HERO’S HEART is a Regency romance set in 1815 London and Robin Hood’s Bay, a town rife with smugglers. It is a wholesome love story, action-packed with romantic adventure. Tricia Ravenscar, a virtuous young lady in dire distress, boldly decides to escape from her uncle, the despotic Lord Kilver, so she disguises herself as a boy and flees across the Yorkshire moor. The Duke of Rowan rescues what he thinks is a lad, and kindly takes Tricia to London and makes her his page. When he discovers that she is a young lady in great danger from Kilver, he determines to save her from a life of misery. Tricia falls in love with her considerate Duke, and discovers that he has hazards of his own. To help him, she enacts clever hi-jinks, trying to rid him of two wicked society women who scheme to get their hooks into him. Striving together, the Duke and Tricia fight to save each other from the enemies who tightly grip them. Can their love ever triumph over the villainous plots pitched against them? This book is a clean, suspenseful novel with humor and lightheartedness woven in with the perils of romance. I wrote it because strong heroes who demonstrate moral integrity give us good role models to love.
